Ex date on 3 September (what is this, and how can it be 3 days prior to this announcement??)
Record date is on 4 September (2 days prior to announcement??)
Opening date is 6 September (?)
Closing date 21 September (?)
Units quoted on deferred basis (?)
Settlement date 26 September (?)
Issue date 28 September (?)
Commencement of trading of new units 1 October (?)
Can somebody explain all this in layman terms??
And if I took up the rights issue but sold my all existing my shares after "closing date/record date/entitlement date" (or whatever that day is called), do I still get the shares of the rights issue?
And what you mean between "date of entitlement" and "date of options exercised", what options??
When I was in uni I once took up a rights offer with ANZ, I subscribed to the max $15k allowed and made a killing, only because the offer price was substantially at a discount to market price at the time, didn't take a genius to work that out, with FOR rights offer why they're only issuing at NTA?? Shouldn't they be offering at a discount to existing shareholders like other companies do??

The answer is yes.
