Companies aren't that clever. And it was only 290,000 shares. $290,000

This is an employee that borrowed from a bank to convert the shares at a dollar, ready to sell at 2.50 in a week ! and pay back the bank and keep the remaining 300 grand to pay of his mortgage !

But that plan has now just gone down the toilet. He has to come up with an extra mortgage payment every month for 6 months to keep the 290,000 he borrowed, or sell them all for just 1.20 and after the interest make just a few thousands bucks instead.

300,000 Gs is a lot of money in most peoples language. He/she is probably lucky the deal wasn't totally cancelled because the SP would be under a dollar then.
