TT, well, what are they then? Bear in mind I am talking about production cash costs here. Which of these costs are not variable?
Excavators. Trucks. Electricity for crushing. Electricity for conveying. Repairs on all the above. Cyanide. Merrill-Crowe circuit electricity. Power for smelting.
Every ounce produced uses more of the above.
Some production salaries will be fixed. That's it, I think.
It all comes down to grade, recovery and strip ratio. Regardless of those factors, the first five costs will be constant, as they are dependent on tonnes mined/stripped.
