Seems Thiess had three contracts there prior to 2010 when Golding took over, and Theiss was also doing maintenance of some machinery belonging to the client according to an old website I found but - possibly due to Golding previously being a private company - there doesn’t seem to be any inventory stuff mentioned online ....Except for a very positive write up from Komatsu for Golding and it’s founder .....published in 2016 (http://www.komatsu.com.au/AboutKoma.../Pages/Golding--Komatsu-Through-The-Ages.aspx)..
At one stage the very highly reputed Golding owned more Komatsu equipment than anyone else in Australia!

However the new machine mentioned is one of these :

As an Alps tackler (or maybe masher) it’s right up there with the two-storey-tall tunnel borers in the NRW inventory of Very Big Things
According to the link ; 6th biggest mining excavator in the world at 672 tons.

(For purposes of comparison Christ the Redeemer statue ((in a place with name similarities to another tier one client)) weighs 635 tons )

This contract will be kicking in in October.
I wonder how much of the $12 million capex spend cited will be spent on the new machine?
