Can anyone explain the purpose or the mentality behind these just prior to close games?

I fail to see the benefit of when someones posts a buy order originally for 96000 shares @.014 that someone then deliberately posts a sell order for 100,000 shares at.012 seemingly just to keep the final price at.013 rather than have it finish at .014.
The buy order was then changed to 129,996 shares at .014 then it was again deliberately countered by the seller changing their order to wait for it, exactly 130,000 shares at .014, I can't even begin to describe the juvenile mentality behind this but there you go.

Seriously why on earth would you bother???
