I work in the Pilbara Fortescue area and like Sander said the actual cyclone is not what will hold them up, it's the flooding that can last days/weeks after! Floodways, roads, rivers all breach and it's just a waiting game to even cross some main bitumen roads, let alone utilising bush tracks cut in by exploration.

Luckily we are nearing the end of the wet season anyway so this should hopefully almost be it for the rest of the year, heat is dying down rain should start drying up and we are just about into prime exploration season!
