Nice write up in the Australian Financial review:
In a global first, retail landlord Vicinity will trial a clear glass structure which converts sunlight into electricity, as the shopping centre landlord ramps up its commitment to solar power.
The mall owner has partnered with ClearVue Technologies on the installation which replaces an existing glass atrium at Warwick Grove shopping centre in Western Australia.
The new structure that uses the clear, photovoltaic solar glass which collects infra-red light and deflects it to the surface edge where it is then converted into electricity for the mall.

The solar PV glass is completely transparent and it is the first of its kind used in a commercial venture globally, according to Vicinity.
Justin Mills, executive general manager for shopping centre management, said the new technology could transform the way Vicinity uses glass in its centres, allowing the landlord to change significantly how it harvests renewable energy and reduce its exposure to the energy market.
Vicinity has already stepped up its investment into solar power across its portfolio. The $73 million project is the largest in the sector, stretching across 22 centres with a total capacity of 31 megawatts.
ClearVue executive chairman Victor Rosenberg said the Warwick Grove project was a major milestone, as the first time the PV glass is employed in a commercial setting
"We see great potential in trialling new technology, such as ClearVue's PV glass, as we expand the solar program and innovation pipeline across our portfolio of shopping centres and as we explore mixed-use developments."
