They are CR'ing now because they receive the rig for B/Heart and Cornea in early December. The rig was booked nearly a year ago and failure to takeup their slots could result in penalties up to $400k per day.
I agree the timing of everything sucks but that's mainly due to MEO setting several targets for farmout completion then missing them.
