Some of AEB's fake accounts are very blatant though.

Agreed, there are some wide-eyed people who have been conned and genuinely believe the story, and where there's doubt it's interesting to see where they might have come from. They're usually pretty easy to spot though. I'm not sure if they're using the strategy of making it deliberately obvious so that anyone with enough sense to see how bad the company of tends to stay away (scams often make it really obvious that they're scams for this reason), or if they're just too lazy to make them convincing.
