Plenty of Australian entrepreneurial bankers have headed for Asia, and yes while there up there , have created a web of holding companys which originate in Hong Kong but where the financial benefits ultimately rest in secrecy jurisdictions such as Panama and Jersey etc. Jersey by the way is the favourite financial secrecy jurisdiction for ex patriot South Africans living in Australia, notably those associated with the Perth Mining community. I guess what concerns me the perception thing, in these days of greater financial transparency, I want to know who is going to get the benefit, the local investor or those with hidden agendas .
