I attended the AGM and the board mentioned they were in confidential discussions with a Chinese party on a farm in proposal. As you say Albuera they would not need to inform the market until discussions lead to something material. Afterwards i asked Neil more about this Chinese party and he mentioned they were a private company bigger then ASX listed Santos and currently do not have a position in Aus and were looking at OBL as their 1st step into Aus with oil the main attraction over gas. The clock is ticking and they mentioned a term sheet being offered and more would be known in coming weeks. Overall the board was pleased with the new insight they have on derby block and this has made interest increase with the Chinese company approaching OBL with interest in derby block. Will they pull it off in time is the question and are this Chinese company interested enough to make the move quick enough. Ive seen many dog stocks finally have the stars align after many failures and in most of them occasions the stock sat dead and grinding lower with no interest and volume. Is OBL 1 of them and are about to do a farm in deal or will the clock tick past and REY take over as operator. Either way the assets will still be there and OBL will still own their share but right here right now holders wait with baited breath on if they can deliver for once. Worth a punt at these prices i reckon.
