Agree 100% that offshore structures can be legitimate, didn’t mean to suggest otherwise.
The odd thing is just that there seems to be quite a few Singaporean companies created at the same time as, and with a link (eg shareholder or subsidiary) to, Australian companies that JC was a director of. And for each of those companies Ng Geok Lan is a director. That’s an odd coincidence, don’t you think?
Then the website you found reports Ng Geok Lan’s professional role as providing advice on setting up and maintaining offshore structures.
Most countries (probably Singapore too) require a local director. That makes me wonder if Ng Geok Lan also provides nominee director services (again perfectly legitimate, and would be a logical fit with the advice work). But if Lan is a nominee director, then who really controls these companies?
That question seems important when the companies involved are shareholders of and lender to T3D. Right now the company appears to need the loans, so it seems like a key issue to me.
