If ASX are overstepping then Merlin could make a complaint! I'm sure ASX have a fair understanding of what they are allowed to do (coming up to 5 months suspension with no end in sight). There are a lot of ASX listed companies and quite often the only time things get found out are if the company is in trouble or someone internally complains or they fail to lodge a report on time thus drawing attention. The fact that ASIC are also involved shows things are deeper than just an ASX issues. The more they dig the more likely more will be revealed and with the journo's sniffing blood I'm sure they will be digging. 
Can't quite understand the support for this management, they have failed to deliver for nearly a decade, had the share price plummet, had share holding's diluted, spent all the cash and left shareholders in the dark. 
Look at what Mynmar Metals have done since ditching this management team!
