In my experience share consolidations don’t help the share price and shares generally trend down after consolidation.

Why?

I think it’s because the management teams that do share consolidations think it will help the share price and that’s why people/institutions etc aren’t buying their stock and thus they don’t focus on the real reason.

The real reason the share price is falling?

I think LPEs management team should be putting way more effort into “selling the sizzle” - regular newsflow with positive things they’re working on. Ie. Solar should have been an announcement on its own selling what this will do to their business and there’s been a lot of other news casually dropped in investor presentations that should have been announced seperately.

But they should just get on with growing the business and the share price will follow?

Yes if they have the funds and don’t need to raise - check out the price of last 2 raising and blackrocks options - these could have been much higher imo.

I hold and will continue to but am expecting more buying opportunities because of the consolidation. Hopefully LPE bring on a decent stock broker to help them with promotion in the future.
