A small victory. CFU are long overdue after the Alliander program fell well short of 600 etc etc etc.
The promising thing is that iPower can make this work in the UK. Wish them success. I can't recall if it was Alliander or EWE but one of them published a white paper talking of the same model of supplying units for free to homes. They paid for gas and servicing and this ensured that their gas customers continued to buy gas in the light of dwindling sales due to less heating being required for more effecient homes.
They give the units to homes. They lock up gas supply for power and heating and they take the tarrifs. Homes pay for gas,m get hot water and very cheap power. The likes of Alliander who are involved in gas and power supply/distribution in Germany would seem well positioned. Ditto the likes of Gasterra and E.On.
Time will tell. The financials for Q2 will beinteresting as curious to know how much longer they can make the Bergen finance last.
The BIGGEST thing in this announcement is that CFU met the iPower conditions which I ASSUME include solvency requirements etc etc. So that is encouraging that a very weak cash sheet didnt impede the deal. Frankly, that is my biggest concern right now...less cash flow...but what the cash flow situation means to potential customers.
