I have previously stipulated my background (oil/gas/iron ore) in this post - Post #: 27312018 and have stated I haven't been in the 'field/outback' for a while. I am not working full time as transitioning to retirement (more retired than working) and I don't have a large share portfolio either (AVZ is my biggest share, even though I sold down that holding in November which came at the right time for me fortunately).
I have also previously stipulated that I am learning lithium like everyone else, and in fact have gone back to some old geology books and having a look at some things in the geology section of the net (reading papers) to understand what may be going on here with the interplay of granites and pegmatites, and why the pegmatites were not essentially recorded in holes 4 and 5 (some of which I have shared here). I have a theory and that is about it and have put it done in the absence of no other information I can glean from the Anns and what they have previously stipulated. It is probably wrong because without been on the ground it is actually difficult to picture what is happening here. I am trying to map this myself by what is said through the Anns as well. but obviously will get a fuller picture as more holes are drilled.
I understand where @Pinkie38 is coming from as well, as what he has said around poking holes to understand the terrain is fundamentally correct. It is how early exploration takes place after preliminary survey work (obviously seismic work not used here initially).
Whilst I would like results earlier, like everyone else, I can understand what GPP are doing in that they are seeking to understand the geology - what they are doing is seeking to be systematic in their drill holes (essentially doing 'a' then working out where to put in the next drill bit at 'b'). I would prefer JW was on the ground for a part of the drilling campaign as 'site looking and planning ' helps a lot. Assuming, they believe they should continue drilling after this drill program, the next program will be more planned in that they would already mark on their drilling plan exactly where each drill will be drilled. Need to also say they are moving drilling very quickly here between drills,so that is a very good thing.
My frustration here has been at the limited info in the Anns, plus it took a year plus to get to first drill, so the assays are going to be a key here, and hopefully they do give the data required to make an assessment. GPP is a typical exploration program btw - what AVZ has in poking holes and bingo is actually a rarity in exploration plays.
Most explorers have theories, poke holes and get the data to work out where to from there and obviously many end up saying their theory wasn't correct and move on, but that happens after far more drills than what has been drilled here (so time will tell). Will we get a Sirius moment in this drilling campaign, don't know, it does boil down to luck in inaugrual drilling programs at the end of the day.
BTW in AVZ this is what I said as was got annoyed there when someone put my name up as someone to trust among a group of people. Post #: 30440935
Investors need to make their own decision. DYOR, but at the moment I think most here have a theory. The theory I have is simply that the pegmatite stringers have ceased at hole 4 and 5 and will be interesting what happens at hole 6, but who knows. The reason why I would like them to put a drill between point 12 and 13 on their map is I also agree with a post from @anatol where he mapped what he thought was happening at hole 3.
All IMO
