So let me get my head around your post.........
With the disclaimer, I know I was guilty of not researching back far enough which on questioning management lead me to go back to GPP's listing to determine why they didn't feel the need to answer (at the time) quite innocuous enquiries. Basically it was, why does the company choose to answer some share holders and not others, was it the type and line of enquiries? Also considering the pro management team of supporters that rebutted posts telling me and anyone else back then, "its history" "why bring up the past" "who cares what happened 10 years ago" "management are great" "call and ask them" - well I guess it wasn't/isn't all nice and rosy as sentiment towards management has slightly changed as they maintain their rinse and repeat cycle of moving their focus from project to project with fingers crossed.
Unless I have got it wrong, you are saying that you never researched management prior to investing in GPP, and basically got caught up in the hype that abounded back then as well as the much "followed" names re: Minemark that where on board and welcomed with open arms?
As well as being a very pro management and "guru" supporting poster to the point where you admonished, ridiculed and rebutted anyone that dared to offer concerns and differing views on GPP's management and being negative towards the resident expert thats continually added to the hype and politely referring posters that did indeed offer a contrarian and differing viewpoint to managements "DYOR" and read the announcements properly, learn to read between the lines as it was all there!!
Obviously your attitude towards management has changed dramatically since you disclosed you had sold out of GPP, but the question is, if the fundamentals of GPP hasn't changed, management hasn't changed, the 3 "bazooka projects" are still there, and after advising people to do their own research, why did you sell?
Im also a little perplexed as to now you are claiming indepth research but basically bringing up information that has been posted on the threads (by the very posters that you held some disdain towards) for nearly 12 months now. More recent posts regarding the lack of GPP's geologist not being in Guyana supervising field works, the lack of commentary on the drill cores, the lack of decent photo's of the drill cores all being shouted down with we all have confidence in team GPP and their JV partners, Piepgrass is there overseeing the drill campaign, great announcement management, very professional management, etc.
What is more perplexing is your sentiment has changed (understandably) but you think the results from hole 5 will be a duster as was hole 4, you have indicated if it is then you will BUY a small package @ $0.005c where you predict the share price to drift down to is basically hypocritical of what you are trying to convey about management being the worse that you have dealt with in your 8 years of investing and citing the very reasons that for the past 12 months posters have been saying "misleading promises, missed timelines, arrogance in the way they treat SHs etc" but yet you will buy again??
As well as offering something to ponder re: Mali @Pinkie38
There is no doubt that Mali has an element of sovereign risk, but putting it into perspective that can be said for any country in the world. Is the risk greater in Mali than dining at a cafe in Sydney (re: Lindt Cafe Siege) or going to a concert (re: Manchester Arena Bombing) to name just two?
Its risk is akin to "its flooding in Queensland (I live in Victoria) and I should start building my version of a survival ark!"
Randgold, Iamgold, Resolute, AngloAshanti, Hummingbird and B2Gold to name some of the worlds largest gold producers have all prospered and continue to invest multi millions of dollars in their mines in Mali to continue to do so. https://www.fraserinstitute.org/categories/mining
All the above IMO only
cheers
PS: I knew it was a sell it wasn't rocket science.
I would also be more concerned investing in companies that may/may not operate in the DRC which again is perplexing considering the previous sentiment to stocks that do ply their business there.
