The daily volume reported is total sales is it not?
Trading platforms report bourse of sales?
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just aren't getting what you are trying to say.
In my simplistic view:
I have 1 share for sale (seller)
You want to buy that share (buyer)
Trade is made - volume for day is 1
Some trading platforms have more features than others, as an example:
Direct shares will only give total of buys/sells (no depth/position in queue etc) and only the last 10 trades
Commsec give you the full monty of features, buy/sell depths, total trades etc. but don't show Chi-X data.
Or more to your example: your trading platform will show you buyers at 1.3c at that particular time frame, it made up part of all the buyers that the seller/s dropped 12 million shares in 6 minutes into, and they even went to 1.2c on Chi-X in their decision to sell.
Corrections again appreciated if I have misunderstood
All IMO
cheers

Sorry foocs, but unwilling to spend more time on this subject, as said to nondiscript my platform uses algorithms to show such info, time to get out of bed and smell the roses, well go to work for me that is
