COMPLETION OF FIRST DRILL HOLE AT TURESI
Greenpower Energy Ltd (ASX: GPP) and its joint venture partner Guyana Strategic Minerals Inc (GSM) are pleased to announce the completion of d drill hole TD 001 on drill pad TDH_P03 core at the Turesi Prospect in the Morabisi Project in Guyana (Refer Map). Drill hole TD 001 was completed on Wednesday 18th April (Thursday Perth time) at a total depth of 167m.The drilling rig performed to expectations with good core recovery.
Drill hole TD 001 intersected saprolitic clays to a down hole depth of 36m, then granite with pegmatite stringers to the drill hole total depth. The drill core will now be cut in 1.5m sample lengths at the base camp core shed with half core being shipped to Georgetown.
A drill core sample pulp prepared in Georgetown will be shipped to Nagrom Laboratories in Perth, Western Australia for analysis. The drill rig was moved on Wednesday to drill pad TDH_P04 to drill cored hole TD 002. TDH_P04 is located at co-ordinates 234503mE, 648724mN (Refer drill hole plan following). It is planned that TD 002 will be drilled to a down hole depth of 140m at an azimuth of 014 degrees true and a dip of 60 degrees. Drilling is expected to commence on Thursday 19th April.
