If you insist i can concede it may be panic sale(though it need not be but just incase you insist). But saying people have no Idea what they are doing is bit overdone. They have endured more than a fare share of bullshit for the past one or two years. What they do not know is what the management is/was doing and if they can do anything.
I agree @blastfurnace is a pro but does that hinder him for selling?

has a more thorough knowledge of the rock formation and systems and if he can deduce something from the last ann he may as well buy or sell based on his deduction unless he is under some obligation to maintain his holdings as it is. If he found out something negative and is still holding would make him less of a pro as it would mean he is guided by heart than head. But its all up to him and it won't change the man that he is.
But I like your research and insight you provide but I feel the market need not share that sentiment. I also agree it is better that those who are still holding wait out the results but then some may not have that faith in management. The ann may have scared them away and they wanted to salvage whatever they can.
