I have had time to mull over the de merger proposal and think that it could be a good idea if

A value is put on the assets and we get 100% ownership of the new company with a SPP to new shareholders or existing that would dilute the company fairly to provide cash to develop those projects.

It is fair to say that GWR's SP doesn't reflect any value in those other projects. I see GWR's SP as reflecting only the Wiluna Iron Ore project.

This being said though, it is imperative that the projects are not gifted to the new company without us GWR shareholders being remunerated via a share in the new company.

I must say that this looks like they are performing this demerge as a way of "Stripping" the other assets that are worth something in their own right, but would be just thrown in with the deal if GWR was to be taken over for it's iron assets. Better to separate them and if a suiter wants GWR for the WIluna West Iron Ore project, then that's all they will get. Not the free steak knives.

It looks like this was always on the cards because of their fully owned subsidiary company that they had set up.

All eyes are on the board now to see if we get a fair deal.
