Pointerra is not the only solution, it is one of many, and Potree does work over large datasets (100Gbyte). You are just wrong. GEXCEL, TeamPlatform, Recap, Euclideon etc etc

And you must remember having access to an infinite number of points to just look at is one thing. However uses wish to integrate that in with tools, CAD, GIS etc tools. Pointerra is not a GIS or CAD company. They need to embed their software in major platforms such as ESRI or Microstation or AutoDESK or Dessault etc. Providing a Daas service is not a big market. It is dribble money.
