I really think you are over reading things here. Less that 0.25% of tradeable stock shorted.

Most of the short positions appear to have been taken up AFTER the 31 October.

It is not uncommon for people to short a stock leading into an announcement. Especially in this situation. DSE had to keep performing to maintain the SP it was commanding.

As for manipulation. You mean a lack of buyers? If there was demand for this stock then there would be buyers willing to pay. There isn't hence the drop. No one wants to step up and pay. Simple.

The "insiders" of this business have most of their stock tied up in escrow (not for much longer).

I think you need to move on from the conspiracy theories.

It's a high risk spec stock. Easy come easy go. Management should have done better DD on these essentially dormant accounts that were signed up. They didn't and this is the result. All part of investing at this end of the market. We were warned of some churn and that most numbers were coming from one partner but the result was far worse than what we were led to think worst case scenario could be. Live and learn.

I start to think there is potential here at this kind of entry price as it has been severley punished but I just can't get past management's blindness and lack of DD around this partner.

Surely there was a "wow we've just put on 400k+ in users from one partner but hey these accounts are not actually backing up any data???" moment. Either incompetence or recklessness.
