You are forgetting OPEX at around 11 dollars per barrel. add the two and add the discount of 7-8 oil in this region gets and you get an net return per barrel of around 11 dollars. You can see that in that net return and lets say average yearly production of 8000 barrels per annum it really doesn't even cover drilling costs and 3 months corp costs.
Dont be caught by the trickery. they disclose 500k costs per well but does that favor in the rental aggreement where they pay I think 75k per month to "math" whether they are drilling or not and the 500k does not include completion costs
