I was at the general meeting today and a question was asked about disease management and specifically myrtle rust.
Chris Mitchell CLEARLY had his head around the issue and it is comforting to know that the company monitors the health of plantations in more ways than just obsessing about myrtle rust.
Unlike trendtracker they do not discount the issue entirely or try to argue it is a non-issue.
Clearly its a potential issue which they are monitoring.
"No plan" - whatever man - they don't have a problem yet, and may not at all. The truth of the matter is that they don't think that their plantations will be severely effected, if at all, and if you look at the map that CSIRO released and compare it to their plantations, then that is probably correct.
Also, there's nothing in the presentation about "continued focus on eucalyptus mallees" - in fact there was talk in the presentation about continuing R&D into new trees. They put a lot of time into it and want to know it will keep growing over 20 years.
I think you've gone over the top yellowcake. I think you have some axe to grind or something. I think you've become obsessed. You comment on the AGM Address on the basis of what? The slideshow? And your conclusions are not borne out by the slideshow anyway.
