Always good to see a contrary position, seems the guy behind the majority of the criticism is a certified egotistical troll as can be seen from the links but interesting points all the same.

I guess what needs to be kept in mind is that the trial and publishing process is well defined as are the FDA requirements that NTI must satisfy so if the professor is crooked then he would be unlikely to have been selected. Pretty sure the likes of Harvard have reasonable vetting process also..

On the subject of the David Gerard who seems to be the one bagging Carrick, it may pay to look into his reputation for having a crack at a range of people and technologies. The Bitcoin/Blockchain rant proves how he is sometimes very wrong...
