Cheers, appreciated. Picked up a few myself today at a significant premium to what I could have got them for yesterday...

Had a old flatmate who done a PhD in Autism focusing or early interventions during the developmental stage and was aware that research has proven that with the right intensive early therapies the ongoing effects of Autism can in effect be overcome.

I forwarded him the story which he was clearly quite excited about, a few comments below.

"That's pretty amazing. Neurofeedback wasn't even on my radar. Proper controlled trial and solid results. We help integrate families into disability services. Surprised I haven't heard any talk about this stuff. Cheers for sending it through."

"There are whole classes of autism that appear to be children with a vulnerability to developing autism, but that can basically be avoided. And others where the symptoms can be ameliorated so much that they are negligible. Sadly, most of the research on it still hasn't hit practice."

"Haven't seen anything work on that high a proportion or in less than 9 months though. I'd guess that neurofeedback or whatever mechanisms it's tapping into could go a lot further to reducing symptoms."

"I'd be interested in seeing the effect of bundling neurofeedback with diets personalised to gut microbiome or a ketogenic diet and adding neurodevelopmental, applied behavioural therapy, and speech therapy. I think an ensemble of new and gold standard approaches could change a whole lot of lives"

He currently works in the field in a collaboration with an Oz uni and was interested in discussing with Neurotech the possibility integrating their system as a classification tool for identifying which subgroups of autism the neurofeedback works for, hopefully this response is not unique within the autism researh and treatment community.
