It's is true EPS has fallen this year. I am however surprised with Motley fool response as they have made a call to sell post the SP more than halving from its peak. If they use any kind of LT analysis , I struggle to see how Current EPS, in fact even a lower EPS by say another 10-15% , justifies exiting the stock at these levels.
I would understand a hold recommendation but going from a buy at 160 to a sell at 118 two weeks later is ridiculous as the MD retiring in itself doesn't indicate earnings deteoration
At these levels , the stock trades as if earnings were to drop another 20% and thus it has significant safety margin.
It's amazing they state 6 months ago that CLH were being prudent for not buying high priced PDL and 6 months later they state the couldn't see company going into hibernation
