GPfanatic, I read your email, and I am puzzled by the part where you asked about the size of wires coming out of panels, and suggested that you want those information to calculate voltage drop.
You realise that the voltage drop is something between say point A and point B.
Point A, in this case, is the output wires/connectors of the solar panel, and point B is where the energy is consumed.
So, the size of wiring coming out of solar panel is irrelevant. What matters is the size of wire connecting point A to B, which is basically the internal wiring of the building. It's something that the electrician/installer decides about.
It like how the size of +/- connectors of a Duracell battery is irrelevant to the voltage drop between the battery and your Christmas LED lights.
