Im also pro performance shares for sure... I just think the vesting milestones and the $$$ amounts are generally a little too generous (across many companies).
These days so many get performance shares for basic business tasks that salaries are supposed to be there to compensate for.
Ive seem some seriously horrendous terms when companies used to come in an try to pitch for capital haha. Perforamnce shares tied to directors simply staying on the board for a period of time etc haha.
but what does other companies and other directors have to do with Jason and the VEC team, I cant believe this is being discussed, Jason gets paid to do a job, and is offered performance shares, he carries out his duties and achieves, so where is the issue, I know of directors on 650,000 a year and do nothing except CR, who, (apart from non holders) is going to complain when this is set on fire and is multiples of where it is now, when you say he only works a couple of hours a week, how did you come to that conclusion, if you followed him you would know he sacrifices his personal and family time going back and forth to the DRC busting his gut to get things happening, he gets off the plane when he lands back in Perth and is straight to the office, I just dont get some of you guys, I expect if you put in the same effort in your job you would expect to be compensated and remunerated correctly
