@whitelion - IMO the price diff between the two players is not as significant as the headline rate cards show once volume discounts are applied. There is no doubt that Class is more expensive though but it is very much you get what you pay for. Your point however is relevant and special deals etc is a dangerous game with a zero win outcome in the long term for either the incumbent or the competitor. The focus needs to be on innovation, adding continued and further value that drive greater efficiencies and gains to the core clients (that being the accountants and advisers operations and ultimately the end product and experience to the clients they use the software to service).
As previously stated - I agree with your comments of consolidation.
