Sure, which is when I started buying APA (actually, truth be told, it was closer to 790c).

But the "opportunity" you are describing represents just one point in time.

Problem is, part of those cash flow streams that I mentioned I like to buy as cheaply as possible, is frequently landing in my bank account, which means that I always need to find more cheap cash flow streams to buy.

To the extent that APA represented one such cheap cash flow stream at a price sub-800c, after today's events it no longer represents as cheap a cash flow stream, i.e., my investment options - in which to deploy the cash inflows I received - have been reduced by one.
