Hi IndiJo,
IMO the more Micro CHP become more common amongst commoners the better. The concept of a heater providing power is new to most of the population. All the mCHPs out there meet different needs for each individual application. Most mCHP are heat led and will benefit high heating needs. BlueGen being electricity led fits a different set of conditions. IMO it has the most flexibility to adapt as it has low heat output and can be married with what ever heat/boiler requirements are needed. Same once the integrated units come out. Maximising the assets by continuous operation has a benefit over units that run only for part of the time.
For market introduction, the more well known mCHP become, the more CFU will sell. Policies can change later to improve required efficiencies. This will benefit CFU with the leading efficiency in the market.
