I assume that "the entity associated with Trent Telford", is the vehicle through which he is employed as director/Chairman. he would be an employee of the consultancy company (one man band) and the company is contracted to provide advise in the form of directorial/chair services.

The April timing is probably to align with the newly composed Board. Feels like a reasonably significant strategic shift or pivot about to take place and they want it to be completely owned by the new board.

Just speculating.
