Ok, piecing it together.  Was never really interested in the particulars as I wasn't invested throughout that time period.  Deakin was the strategic $5M investor in the last CR.  The last CR set the price for the 25M options on the table till the end of the year to Newmarket 0.1624c/ps.  My guess would be that he has plenty of capital being a former investment banker to fund the purchase of the rights/options if it is just a case of buying them.  Unless some how they had a plan to (and I know most people will say it is not necessary) but to help a mate out to become top 3/20 holders by doing a cheaper CR (8c/ps? [making 0.08x125%=10c/ps] instead of the last 13c/ps) and resetting a cheaper buy price for old Douglas?  Douglas (imagine: board meeting) 'You scratch my back and I'll give you a massage, later xx.'  No wonder they cut him a loan @ 12%interest!! he needs to arrange funding for his buy buy buy before december this year!!  Cut them a break they are making all the arrangements for closing in the top 20....
