Hmm... not sure about that???
I usually make DOUBLE on uptrends by selling the spikes rebuying the dips.
AND I can also make good $ on downtrends.
The ONLY thing I would agree on if it was mentioned is LTH get more tax benefit but certainly that is not enough in my particular case.
