I think the difference between now and last year explaining the surge in Director buying recently is the agreement with Nestle to produce coffee makers for their US market. I expect there are huge margins in that trendy product and potentially good volumes. I havent rechecked, but from memory these buys started after that announcement.
You dont get so many directors buying such significant value of shares without pretty high shared confidence that the shareprice will go much higher.
