I believe to comply with the ASX, a company must have a Trading Policy that includes "closed periods" or "trading windows" when directors or Key Management Personal can or can't buy or sell shares. Depending on the type of business the company runs, each Trading Policy can be different.
Hence the reason you can see directors trading within a couple of days of price sensitive announcements.
I haven't a clue what PLS's Trading Policy is but I would guess that because a director bought yesterday that the next price sensitive news isn't going to happen for a few days.
