Well here we are the bid should close at the market end today the 21st October 2016.
It would appear that the initial low ball bid has fallen well short of successful, one wonders what Drake’s next move may be.
Hopefully once the bid is out of the way Mr. Jeff McKenzie and the company should be free to make any announcements they felt unable to make during the period the bid was in play and not fall foul of the ASX / ASIC. If indeed there is relevant current information to share.
Given the recent announced Bonanza Gold grades and the possibility of more to come I can’t see Drake just walking away. They have a relatively strong shareholding certainly enough for a place on the board and a say in steering the company towards turning this explorer into a producing miner.
I am guessing there may have been some clash of personalities between Drake and the current board of BBX; however, I believe it would be in every ones best interest if these personalities could bury the hatchet and work harmoniously for the benefit of all shareholders.
I guess time will tell. As we wait to see the next move I offer this short video once again to refresh our minds as to why we like Gold and companies that look for and produce it:
Cheers and very best regards: Andy
