Some general comments, not specifically directed at NBS.
No doubt ASIC are doing what they can to keep markets fair within the budget they have. But the reality is that when it comes to illegal behaviour, the cost of uncovering it is usually based on multiples of what was spent in concealing it.
That aside, when it comes to obtaining or distributing information on "bad" companies, the scales are well-weighted against small investors. I have never once seen a company send lawyers (or gang members) after a forum member (or journalist or retail analyst) who wrote potentially misleading positive information on a company. I have, however, seen this when negative information was written. Oddly, the more far-fetched the positive information and the closer-to-the-mark the negative information, the more indignant and querulous companies are likely to be about negatives.
And finally, while I think you are right to be looking for beaten-up stocks to invest in, I would also suggest you never confuse investment with charity.
