JB has bought in his own and his family super’s name previously in fairly large quantities.  There was no upward change or improvement in the SP after his purchase.  If JB is still a share manager, then any significant improvement in the NAV would probably be more luck than skill.........
”starting the year well,” probably relates to not making a loss rather than making a significant gain.
and Tin,   I wouldn’t  count on a wind up......that would mean he would be out of a job, and based on his lack of success here, he’s unlikely to get another job in the same industry !
