I don't understand the grievance. That is his title having studied a PhD. Much like historically a Woman changes from Miss to Mrs when married.

But it feels like we may be entering in to a gender neutral pronoun area here so I'm going to leave it alone...

To add to the ongoing conversation, I have had a generic reply to my email from the new Secretary, I have asked for further information (not holding my breath)
