Shorters are back-- 18.07% of trades last Friday after a full layoff to recover from the last burnt fingers
. If they keep wanting to sell their borrowed shares at these silly prices ,I'm happy to take their shares off them all the way down-- pity about the low volumes ,but as I've said before ,they all add up. Not much use waiting for a bottom ,as we saw before, as supply is so small at these low prices price moves rapidly back up when buying begins ,squeezing out the shorters trying to buy back to cover. Tom may give long holders a Xmas present ,as he tends to do ,in which case shorters will be roasting their weenies (as the Americans say) over an open fire for Xmas--ouch.In any event it is not a long hold to the Half Yearly in February ,which with the usual Xmas increase in revenues from the expanding gift cards , spring racing revenues in Oz,a full contribution from UK/EU and the addition of the large U.S/Canada revenues ,should produce a more than handsome bounce in the SP.
