Only one chance IMHO
Hire a team of top specialist lawyers to argue that the shares belong to holders and as such are private property.
If that is not true, can any company at any time commandeer the shares. It just doesn't make any sense. Fair enough if the company goes bust and the shares become worthless, but to forceably take them off the purchaser who has paid for them and legally owns them seems unjust. That is the crux of the matter, who legally owns shares? Anyone able to give a difinitive answer?
