Directors or insiders selling is not relevant information to effective trend following. This is just one example where too much extraneous information can potentially derail a profitable trend trade. Look at what TNE did after they sold. The price has increased some 31 percent. TNE also today traded at a new 52-week high. This is very bullish price action.

Note how price was still above rising 100 and 200-day EMA lines. The longer-term moving average lines were also well separated and rising. This important chart information overrides all other subjective input.

The objective is to ignore all opinions. A price chart is what matters most for a trend trader.
