The whole point of the US investigation is based on the idea that it’s daft to rely on an adversary for the material (U3O8) required for basic power generation.
Australia is not an adversary of the United States, whatever the outcome of the investigation the US will still be importing U3O8 from Canada and Australia, because a) we are friendly countries, and b) the US can’t be self-sufficient in any reasonable time frame.
That’s what my reading tells me.
