In my opinion, it takes a far stretch of the imagination to make this announcement add up to the market activity.
I presume they bought the shares between the 5-9-2016 when it came out of the halt and the date on the notice, the 5-10-2016.
The Gas Fund bought 14,622,991 shares if my maths from that announcement is correct.
During that period Commsec bought 15,195,965 shares. It is highly unlikely that Gas made up 96.22% of all of the CommSec buy orders.
The total bought on market was 59,948,355. Which means Gas made up 24.39% of all the shares bought on the market. That's a very high amount for a very thin market (most of the time) in a share price that didn't go up.

Looking further into the brokers data, the 2nd largest buyer on the market was Euroz and they bought 11,825,000 shares. So they could have done some of the buying. But that means Gas must have had 2 or more brokers fighting over the shares on market and somehow the share price stayed between 1.6c and 2.1c.

    Doesn't make sense to me.
