Clearly, there is "manipulation" taking place and the change in substantial holding tells it all. If you look at the last ann from BoA they had "borrowed" 23 mil plus shares and by 26 August had "returned" about 6 mill of them. That leaves about 17 million that they still have to "return." To do that they must sell as many as they can to keep the price as low as possible and then buy as many as they can, and more (which they keep if they want to) to "return" them. And as you can see today, that is what is obviously happening. It also keeps the SP as close as they can to the offer price. "Manipulation"? You betcha. But, when is the last time you saw the ASX or ASIC charge anyone for "manipulating the market" and what was the penalty? A joke.
