i prefer if the company expenses R&D like EOS does, it may make a company look less profitable but IP generally does not last as long as expected by companies that capitalise it. Not many do though and don't really know any other examples, it can also help you to buy undervalued companies as it won't come up when people filter out companies based on metrics alone
