In an unprecedented show of industry unity more than 25 top CEOs from all the major newspaper groups and commercial television and radio networks will join forces to campaign for the biggest changes to the media laws in more than two decades.
But they're facing stiff opposition to a key change — the abolition of the "two-out-of-three rule" — which prevents media companies dominating a single market.
The proposed new laws were drawn up by Communications Minister Mitch Fifield who joins RN from our Parliament studio.
